This is a Gospel track I am working on. I would appreciate any critiques anyone would like to make on it.

*********************************************

God Loves You

Cute phrase but what does it mean.

I love you can mean a lot to some but to others it’s as empty as a large seashell.

“No one shows greater love than when he lays down his life for his friends.†(John 15:3).

Okay, so what does that mean? If I don’t know God or believe in him he isn’t going to call me a friend or even die for someone who doesn’t give God the time of day.

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners (not his friend), Christ died for us.†(Romans 5:8)

Who is Christ? Well Christ refers to Jesus Christ the Son of the living God, but what about this dieing business?

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,†(Romans 3:23)

“For the wages of sin is death,†(Romans 6:23)

We have all done something wrong and before a perfect judge that is called sin and it does carry a consequence, which is death. This death is not a physical death but it speaks of an eternal consequence of being sentenced to hell.

Hell is a real place. It was originally created for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). It is a place of never ending tormenting fire (Mark 9:44, Matthew 25:46), a place where individuals will weep and nash their teeth (Matthew 22:13)."And the smoke of their torment ascended up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night..." (Revelation 14:11)

But this is not where God wants you to go because, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God has a wonderful gift for you, “but the free gift of God is eternal life in union with the Messiah Jesus our Lord†(Romans 6:23).

This is how God loves you, in that even though you deserved to be sent to hell for your sins, God has loved you so much that he was willing to send his only son Jesus to die for your sins. And Jesus being God as well, was willing to give up all the wealth of heaven and come to earth and suffer at the hands of his creation and die in your place, paying the full price for your sins.

The way you can receive this free gift from God is to repent of your sin. This just means that you except that what God calls sin is wrong and that there is nothing you can do to earn heaven. No good person can ever enter into heaven because all of our righteousness are like filthy rags" (Isaiah. 64:6). Therefore, what you need to repent of is how you once accepted sin as okay and that you can’t save yourself.

“8For it is by grace (unconditional love) you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.†(Ephesians 2:8&9).

Not only did God sacrifice is only son, not only did Jesus give up the wealth of heaven to come to earth but that was not enough for God. God is not looking to redeem slaves or servants but he was wanting children. “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God†(John 1:12).

God wants to become your daddy and love you with a love that you could not possibly imagine by yourself but only through experiencing a relationship with him.

One important key to receiving the gift of God is to believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. (Romans 10:9). This is not as complicated as some people have made this sound. To believe in your heart is simply making a decision. You consider in you head the idea for and against God. You weigh out the arguments and you come to a conclusion. Once you have come to a conclusion you then have to decide will you actually accept that conclusion or will you reject it.

It’s like memorizing your multiplication tables. For instance when you try to figure out what four multipled by 5 is, you could keep adding that up the long way every time you need to know that answer. On the other hand you could add it up once and then accept that the answer is 20 and from then on just believe that the answer will not change. You have accepted in your heart that 4 x 5 = 20. On the other hand you could live in doubt and never really accept that 4 x 5 = 20, and each time you want to figure out that solution you just keep re adding it up in your head because you are doubting the answer.

Salvation is just that simple. God can not lie, so therefore what he has told you in his word is true. But you have to make the decision. There will be other voices, whether it be your thoughts or people, but there will be other voices and you will have to decide who you will believe – man or God. It’s up to you to decide on life or death, but I say choose life.

If you would like to receive the free gift of salvation from God pray the following prayer.

Dear God,
I am coming to you just as I am – a sinner deserving of Hell. I no longer want to be apart of the devils family. Please forgive me of my sins and make me one of your children. I believe in your testimony God, that you did send Jesus to die for me, in my place and that Jesus raised from the dead three days after he died on the cross. I accept that Jesus paid in full, all my sins and that the payment of my sins is by Jesus alone, apart from any works or religion.

I ask for the free gift of eternal life and I thank for it now. I thank you that I am now a child of God. Thank you.

In Jesus name amen.

I totally agree. But like you noticed, I also want to fully cover every aspect of salvation. I know from experience before I was saved that I read hundreds of tracks trying to figure out what I was missing. One of the problems was that non of them covered every aspect of salvation. To much was left out. Then of coarse there was the tracks that where really like tiny books, way longer than this one. Those I just chucked away after reading the first really condensed page.

I will work on it some more tomorrow.

I like it a lot, CGE....but I am wondering if there is any way you can condense it some. Usually, Gospel tracts are a lot more concise, but I like how you covered every aspect of the salvation message.

I would just suggest condensing it a bit.
