What are your thoughts on E-harmony? Anyone?
praying LJ:] Have a great time...can't wait to hear about it:]
please pray for The Chi Alpha college ministry groups, especially those in oklahoma, we are having our annual Break-a-way retreat, this is for college aged people, so if you would remember us in prayer that God would touch our lives in a new way. We leave the school at 5 PM today. like 14 and a half hours from now. and I am very excited about it.
that is kind of where I am right now. I don't like waiting very much, but I like it alot more than missing out on the right girl because i was in a relationship with the wrong one. but yeah, I'm just waiting on God. it's the safest route.
and god is doing alot of work in me. specifically in showing me alot of self esteem issues. I am still learning plus I am still learning what normal is, regarding a spiritually healthy relationship.
so fun fun fun. but actually God is also spoiling me rotten with some extremely great friends, most of them are 4-8 years younger than me but they are still there.
Yeah, I agree with lightofgrace. The hard thing is being patient with God. He does usually take a lot longer than we want to wait!! :)
But I have heard that in the process of making us wait, He does a work in us and quite likely in the other person, to prepare each for each other, so that when they do meet and come together, they are ready for each other. But the waiting is sooooooo hard!
Just a thought, I'd pray and ask God. God knows us better than we know ourselves. He will find the perfect match for you! Jesus is the Perfect Matchmaker and He is ever faithful if we just ask.
yeah, I was just thinking about it. I am single and I am really tired of being single but I have been doing my best to not be looking for her. I have always heard "when I stopped looking for the one, that's when we found each other." so I have been trying to wait patiently and it's been getting easier. but I have been thinking and praying about doing the Eharmony thing, but that is the only one I would ever trust to get into. but I still don't feel relaxed about the idea.
I've never really thought much about it.
I do know that the founder is an evangelical Christian, and that he got sued for discrimination not too long ago by a homosexual woman, for refusing to matchmake for her.
I also know that it has a very good success rate, and that they are very selective about who they work with.
Other than that, I really don't know too much about it.
