Why is it that one minute I'm full of the Holy Spirit and a second later I get tempted and can't get the temptations out of my mind? I pray to God, read my bible and talk to my accountablitly parnter, but a few minutes later I get that urge to look. It's very frustrating. Sometimes I feel like I should move to the middle of nowhere, get rid of everything and become a hermit. I know this is not what God calls us to do and that I'll get tempted no matter where I live. I guess this is just part of the battle. I imagine every one goes through this, regardless of their vice. I geuss I just have to take it one second at a time. What doesn't kill us will only make us stronger. Writing this out has helped, got it off my chest. Listening to War of Ages "All Consuming Fire" is helping too.Hmm. Oh well, thanks for taking the time to read this and if you have a comment go ahead and post it I welcome all criticism(good or bad). Love you all.

In Christ's Love,
Doug

I think you found one thing

I think you have found one thing in writing about it wehn you are tempted. For you it's possible that writing could sometimes be the way out for you that Paul talks about in I Corinthians 10:13. We know that there is always a way out but many times it's at the beginning of the path rather than at the end. That's one reason Paul tells us to take every thought captive in II Corinthians 10:5. We can't always prevent things that start us down the path to failure. We have to somehow train ourselves to recognize when we are on the path so we can fight the temptation when it's a small flame rather than a raging torrent. Have you ever thought about getting a journal and using it to write out your thoughts when ever you feel tempted?

Praying for you brother,

Scott
