I will say, I said salvation prayer many a time, but Jesus said to me personally, "Carl when are you going to commit to me" and I was ashamed..... I realized that though praying the prayer the word believe on Christ and thou shalt have ever lasting life, it means to commit yourself to Messiah (Christ) and then you will have everlasting life amein...

So many people pray pray those salvation prayers, they rededicate their lives to Jesus and 2 weeks later or not even, they're back sinning again. Why? Because the prayer prayed was a meaningless ritual empty of committment to G-d the Son.. We need to commit to him not just pray to be saved.

I am now working diligently on committing myself to Yeshua (Jesus) of Nazareth and witnesses for him on the streets and where ever I go..

Hey we all been through it. I should know cuz when I was in the porn scene,I was also addicted to porn. Even when I came back to the L-rd ,there was a time I still had the dvd's in my dvd cabinet, & still had the magazines. It was when I wanted to do it to live for Jesus ,all or nothing. I had to clean house meaning. I trashed the stuff. I had to & when I did thats when It was so much of a temptation to fall into the pigpen again. I have learned in Men's Purity, is to pray for other men who are going through the same thing. And what was also the best way also when to combat the temptation was to quote Scripture. meaning memorize some Scriptures that is what helped & I don't know if you are in mens purity or an online accountability group. It does help.

Well let me give you some Scriptures for you to use :

Joshua 1:9,24:15; Jeremiah 29:11-13; Romans 8:1,8:28,12:2; James 5:16; 1 John 1:9; Philippians 4:7-8; 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 :And also the Psalms when reading the Psalms of David is an awesome thing. THis is just some of the tools that may help you. Also you are always welcome here. I may share with you some resource book for reading

A Bible Promise Book ,which can also help. You can find many of these resources online or at a Christian bookstore, or at a bookstore
like Borders & a Barnes & Noble. To name a few. Also seek counsel from a Pastor or where you are Fellowshipping. If they don't have a support group type of ministry try to find something nearest to you that is Biblically sound & that it may be a 12 step which is fine, but I have to say is that there is only 1 step & thats Jesus.

And get involved man. There are men that go through the same thing
you are. And the Online thing with others you chat with be careful. Because you don't know about this person, in real life.

This is why we have this on the forum for men like you & I so we can come & pray for one another when we fall short & give it to the L-rd.

One thing that I want to share is that I used to beat myself up because I looked at something I shouldn't have or done something I shouldn't have. I want you to know is that you are in Jesus ,& you are not condemned bro , we struggle with the flesh constantly. Look at the chapter before ,in Romans 7:14-25 Sha'ul (Paul) definitely went through the war of the flesh.

We war with it (flesh) daily ,but here is what we got to do is put on the Armor of G-d Ephesians 6:11-18 , Its a Put On

And the flesh we got to Put Off.. I still talk with my facilitator that has Discipled me & even in ministry I have him pray for me or let the brothers pray for me. We will be in prayer for you Carl.

I may have given you too much info for you but I gotta say ,that if any man would read this that are going through it like you & even I have to say is to bounce the eyes off, meaning if you see a female on the street or on t.v. or some billboard on the freeway, bounce you eyes off something else. Or pray for that person. Shoot a bullet prayer & ask G-d to go before that person. And move on. Also change your habits of what you listen to or what you watch. Or the places you go to. Pray about the situation & when the L-rd is leading you you & telling you to not go there. He will let you know

Hey Brother LJ thanx for the encouraging words... I think it is difficult when we fight in our power and not G-ds power...

I know that if I can control my thoughts and what I allow to come in to my heart through the gate way of my mind thoughts and imaginations, then Im free, but renewing the mind is not as difficult as we make it...

Jesus said if you had faith as a mustard seed, you'd say to this mountain move and it would move... The mountains are our minds not anything else but.... We must say to our minds, our souls, Soul you wont rule me but I am L-rd over you in Jesus name amein..

Brother I think you have it. it seems that if you count the accumulated number of days you have not looked it is much more encouraging than just counting how long it has been since your last fall. that kind of thing is so discouraging. I wish I had started doing that when God set me free the first time.

We believe in you Carl. and we love you, but more than that, God loves you so much. and He believes in you. You rock!!!! You are doing so good, We are all so proud of you.

Just as I was on a streak of dayz without porn, I slipped today after a 7 day porn free streak.. I am not downing myself tho... At the end of the month I know by faith I will have not gone to sites of porn for 19 days and it woulda been 20 but because today I slipped.. I tried to stand against satan in my strength not the L-rds strength.. a foolish choice as you can see....

Thats why I SAY I determine to work harder at submitting to G-d
to submit my passions and desires when they're out of control... While they are under control too.... Amein...

Praise G-d, I heard Bill Wiese and his Wife Annetta Wiese as they talked to a Local Church I attended while he was guest speaker...

He went to hell and the L-rd blessed his mind after his experieince to be free of the torment but the memories he left in tact.. Bill tells what he experienced as scripture says word for word.. Totally Scriptural and WOW...

Hey Brother, Don't give up. never ever give up. God is going to get you through this. You are going to be alright. God is going to get you free and also heal up the damage from the 28 years of addiction. He is also going to heal whatever it was that cause you to go to it in the first place. We do love you here. We love you alot. and we are here for you and are praying for you in Jesus name.

God's grace covers everything. and Jesus paid for our deliverance while He was at the cross. and one of these days God is going to let you watch Him while he stomps a mud hole in satans chest, or head or maybe both, there is always hope hehe.

It is important to get this under control, so I am glad you are taking steps to see that this is happening.

but Don't give up. Keep fighting no matter what happens Keep the decision firm. stick to your guns and get your guard high and keep it up. God will take care of the rest.

We are so glad you are here with us. God has a huge plan for you. Freaking immense!!!!

oh and God just laid it on my heart to tell you that even though you are still help captive by the addiction, God will always love you and He is still able to use you to help people.

satan wants you to believe that you can't be used because you aren't free yet, so you wont get busy working for God instead of dwelling on the sin and the time you have until you get free.

the truth is, God may put you in a ministry dealing with this specific area even right now using your past experiences in life to encourage people. But He does have plans for a ministry specificaly for you. and that is probably going to be one of the things that He uses to get you to a place of freedom.

so Don't give up. God is in control of your life and satan is just trying to scare you into not being usable.
